Wine of the year

Besides Château d'Yquem (the Emile Peynaud prize) and Château Latour (wine of the year) the wine-growing estate Heymann-Löwenstein receives the Oscar in the category "Best foreign wine of the year". Besides the wine Uhlen Laubach 2002, the Montebello 1999 of Ridge and the Unico 1994 of Vega Sicila were nominated among others for this prize, which is conferred by the renowned French wine journalists M. Bettane and T. Desseauve. The prize was handed over in the Louvre in Paris in March 2005.
